A star of the kitchen as well as the stage, former TV chef Marc Kuzma (aka Claire de Lune) lets his talents shine at his latest Darlinghurst venture, Claire’s Kitchen at Le Salon. Charming French waiters warmly welcome patrons at Claire’s – a chic, intimate and fabulously French ensemble of glittering chandeliers, lavish wallpaper, antiques, white linen and black Louis XV chairs and lounges. Claire’s beauty isn’t only skin deep, however; Kuzma’s dishes – brasserie classics with a contemporary touch, such as double baked three cheese soufflé or Tasmanian grass fed beef fillet with truffled mash and a Shiraz and star anise jus – are done with finesse. Finish with something sweet from the dessert trolley followed by a fine French wine or Claire de Lune cocktail in the mezzanine bar.
