About Restoring Million Dollar Gamblers

National Film and Sound Archive (NFSA) film technicians worked tirelessly restoring Million Dollar Gamblers, a forgotten gem of Australian outback life of the early 1980s. The film also reveals how Coober Pedy has been changed by the recent arrival of television by satellite. Hear from NFSA technician Ben Swadling about the work that goes into restoring and digitising film. Then see a side-by-side comparison of the 16mm original and the digital restoration plus a chance to enjoy the film itself....
