The Mount Isa Mines Rodeo is where the romance of the Australian Outback meets the grit of a mining town, east meets west and man meets beast.
In 2020, due to bio-security issues relating to COVID-19 they can't bring the famous Isa Rodeo in their normal format. It's the first time in their 61 years they won't be staging the Rodeo live in Mount Isa......BUT....for this reason they're bringing you the 2020 Virtual Mount Isa Mines Rodeo where you'll be able to experience all the rodeo action from your lounge room or back yard.
Competitors will enter online with live and pre-recorded videos, including bull riding, saddle bronc, bareback, rope and tie, steer wresting, team roping, barrel racing and breakaway roping. vying for $30,000 in prize money and the coveted Isa Rodeo buckle.
